Lockon Stratos is the codename of two fictional characters in the Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The original Lockon’s real name was Neil Dylandy. He was a Gundam Meister and piloted the GN-002 Gundam Dynames. Four years after Neil’s death, his twin brother Lyle is recruited by Celestial Being to assume his position and codename, piloting the GN-006 Cherudim Gundam.
Neil was the most easygoing of the Meisters. He was a much more understanding character towards some of the actions of other individuals of Celestial Being. He never objected to helping other pilots; an example of this is observed during his actions in aiding the recovery of a disconnected gravity block.
Due to his past, he harboured a strong dislike toward terrorists who targeted civilians. This later developed into a hatred of the Gundam Thrones when the trio initiated attacks against private, civilian operated military equipment production facilities.
